Until recently, the Darshan's Roberrt was to hit the theatres on April 9th on the occasion of Good Friday. However, as the coronavirus outbreak intensifies, the release now stands shelved indefinitely.
The Challenging star tweeted, “May your faith in God bring peace and prosperity into your lives. Have a blessed Good Friday. #Roberrt will soon come to you when things are back to normal. Stay Home & Stay Safe."
Director Tharun Sudhir had said that “We are planning to release the movie, once everything gets normal. If the situation gets normal by April 14, we will release on May 1 or it will get postponed further. The censor certification of the movie was supposed to be done on March 26, but due to the lockdown, that has been postponed too."
It looks like Darshan's tweet has confirmed that the film will now hit the theatre after the COVID-19 crisis subsides.
The film is being back rolled by Umapathy Srinivas Gowda. In addition to Darshan, the film also stars Asha Bhar and Jagapati Babu in pivotal roles. Actors Vinod Prabhakar, Sonal Monterio, Shivaraj K R Pete, and Chikkanna will also appear in the emotional thriller. Musician Arjun Janya is composing the film's score. Sudhakar S Raj is the cinematographer.
Meanwhile, Darshan will also appear in the film Inspector Vikram and Aaspota in 2020.
