Robert Pattinson says he is not following a workout routine amid lockdown as it sets a bad precedent

Robert Pattinson was first announced as the future face for Batman many months ago now. Matt Reeves began shooting for the film in Europe before production came to a sudden halt due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Now Robert Pattinson has opened up about his preparation for playing Batman while he is at home. While many fans would expect the actor to use this time to beef up, Pattinson has refused to do so.

Robert Pattinson confessed that he ignores his workout trainer that Warner Bros hired for him. He also said that he cannot find the motivation to workout amid the current situation.

In his interview with GQ magazine the actor added saying, "I think if (other actors are) working out all the time, (they're) part of the problem. You set a precedent. No one was doing this in the '70s. Even James Dean — he wasn't exactly ripped. Literally, I'm just barely doing anything."

He said that he is simply following a diet routine. He said, "I'm essentially on a meal plan for Batman. Thank God. I don't know what I'd be doing other than that. I can survive. I'll have oatmeal with, like, vanilla protein powder on it. And I will barely even mix it up. It's extraordinarily easy. Like, I eat out of cans and stuff. I'll literally put Tabasco inside a tuna can and just eat it out of the can."

The film will begin shooting once again when the world recovers from the current ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
