Decorated director SS Rajamouli is not only known for his artistic acumen, but also for skilfully borrowing storylines from foreign and Hollywood movies. Now that the Baahubali director is busy working for RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, speculations over the film's story, written by K Vijayendra Prasad, has gained steam in Film Nagar circles.

A little birdie close to the production informed us that the story of RRR is inspired by Guy Ritchie's 2015 American spy film, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The American film revolves around a mysterious criminal organization which plans to use nuclear weapons and technology to strain the relationship between the US and Soviet Union. To achieve it, a CIA agent, played by Henry Cavill and KGB agent, played by Armie Hammer are compelled to put aside their hostilities and join hands to prevent the goons in their tracks. They set out to find the daughter of a missing scientist to prevent this catastrophe.

It is learned that Rajamouli has localized the story of this American film and has set it against historic backdrop by modelling the characters of NTR and Ram Charan as young Komrum Bheem and Alluri Seetha Ramaraju. Produced by DVV Danayya, RRR releases on July 30, 2020.
