Ryan Murphy's new show called Hollywood has got a release date. Fans have been waiting for this since the approval of the show announced. The show is set to release on 1st May 2020. This show is only the second-ever series produced by Ryan Murphy. The previous show he created called 'The Politician' received extreme praise from the audience and critics. It was also nominated for Golden Globe Awards.

The new show 'Hollywood' will be a seven-episode series. The show is going to revolve around filmmakers and actors set in a post-World War 2 era. The story will revolve around their experiences and how these characters try to make it in the cinema arena. The show has a star-studded cast that includes David Corenswet, Darren Criss, Jeremy Pope, Samara Weaving, Laura Harrier, Jim Parsons, Dylan McDermott, Holland Taylor, Patti LuPone, Jake Picking, and Joe Mantello!
 
The show will display the power dynamics that existed post the war. The consequences of these dynamics, particularly in the cinema world will be the central focus of the show.
 
Through the medium of the cinema world, the show will also cover topics of biases in gender, sexuality, and race. Murphy at the announcement of the creation of the show had described the project as, "a love letter to the Golden Age of Tinseltown."
