It's been decades since Saif Ali Khan made his entry into the Bollywood industry. Ever since, the actor has only grown in terms of acting and doing good films. And in his recent interview with Anupama Chopra, Saif credits his initial success in Bollywood to Akshay Kumar. "If I was cute and fun in a lot of movies and I did a lot of work with Akshay Kumar, who perhaps lacked at that point, cute and fun, so we made a kind of super-person and found our way in the industry," said Saif.
He further insisted that Akshay and he complemented each other in ways that worked for both of them. "I completed him and he completed me. I think that’s why we are so fond of each other till today. We realise we owe each other that, in a sense,” he said, adding, “Usually, a solo successful superstar like these guys (the Khans) don’t need someone to complete them," added the Dil Chahta Hai actor.
When asked about his growth as an actor in all these years, Saif feels its focus towards good scripts and improving as an actor that worked for him. "For me, films have also changed. I am being offered complex roles and parts, and it is possible to make a lucrative living that can support a fairly lovely lifestyle," he told Anupama. Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan is gearing up for his role in Adipurush, which also stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and more.
