Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu's publicist has finally made a statement following many rumors that she had left the upcoming series Citadel, they claimed that the reports saying so are false. They also disclosed the date on which she will begin filming for Citadel.

 
An Indian adaptation of the spy series with the same name, Citadel is an upcoming online series. The series, which was created by the director's Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, will debut only on Prime Video. Varun Dhawan is a featured actor in addition to Samantha. Varun will make his OTT debut with Citadel.
 
Samantha's publicist gave a statement to the media. They said, “Anything and everything is written about her being replaced in Citadel is rubbish. She will begin the shoot in the second half of January.”
 
Samantha disclosed that she had been identified as having the autoimmune disorder myositis last year. She posted a photo of herself on a couch, an IV drip attached to her wrist, to Instagram.
 
A part of her caption read, "Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days.... physically and emotionally.... and even when it feels like I can't handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery."
 
Shaakuntalam, which opens in theatres on February 17, stars Samantha. The movie is written and directed by award-winning director Gunasekhar of the 2015 film Rudhramadevi. The film bases itself on the classic Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam by Kalidasa.
 
The legendary love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant is the central theme of Shaakuntalam. The titular characters are represented by Samantha and Dev Mohan. It will be available in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam.
 
Alongside Vijay Deverakonda, Samantha will appear in the upcoming love drama Khushi. This year is when the movie will release.
 
Samantha was last spotted in Yashoda, where she played a surrogate mother. On November 11, the movie opened in theatres. Yashoda did all possible to wow the crowd. Hari and Harish directed Yashoda. Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, under the Sridevi Movies label, produced the film.
