Bullet Prakash passed away due to multi-organ failure. The actor died in a private hospital in Bangalore on Monday.
'Prakash passed away in the evening (4.45 p.m.) due to multi-organ failure, including liver and kidneys after he was put on a ventilator earlier in the day,' a hospital spokesman told IANS.
Bullet Prakash had lost 35 kilograms in just 5 months. The sudden weight loss seems to have affected the actor's health.
According to sources, the actor-comedian was undergoing treatment for an infection in the liver and kidney. “He was put on dialysis to stabilize his condition. A team of gastroenterologists, nephrologists, transplant surgeons was treating him,” an official from the hospital said.
Bullet Prakash has appeared in over 300 films. He debuted in the Kannada film 'Dhurva' and has acted in over 325 Kannada films. He has also appeared in various films in Kollywood and Tollywood.
The actor received the nickname "Bullet" because he used to ride a Royal Enfield Bullet.
Bullet Prakash was also an aspiring political leader and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2015. He had taken part in the famous TV Show Big Boss season-2.
The actor has appeared in hits like ‘Jackie’, ‘Bombay Mitta' "Bheeshma", 'Mast Maja Maadi' and others. He last appeared in the Kannada film 'Mehabooba.' He has shared the silver screen with various film stars such as Puneeth Rajkumar, Darshan, Shivarajkumar, Upendra Rao, Sudeep and many others.
The actor is survived by his wife and children, a daughter and a son. Sandalwood mourns the sudden death of the actor.
