Santhosh Narayanan Says Dhanush Was Jagame Thandhiram's Mentor

On June 7, the music album of Dhanush's upcoming film, Jagame Thandhiram released online. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Jagame Thandhiram is a gangster film set in Madurai and London. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the songs of the film and Bujji, Rakita Rakita have already become chartbusters. In a statement, Santhosh Narayanan said Dhanush mentored him while he worked on the audio of Jagame Thandhiram. When he expressed the same on a Twitter Spaces session last week, Dhanush politely said he just gave his feedback and wouldn't call himself a mentor.

Santhosh Narayanan said, "I have always told him that he is one of the best pop music artists in India. Probably one of the best. He can do totally different films simultaneously. He can also write. He can also create a song like Rowdy Baby. He has a great knack for understanding what people like. For Jagame Thandhiram, I would send him songs, and although he has had so many big hits, he would stick to what this film needed. He was more of a mentor for the songs of Jagame Thandhiram. Though he doesn't accept it, I would call him the mentor of this album."
