Director and cinematographer Vijay Milton have been working in Tamil and Kannada films constantly. His last directorial venture was Goli Soda 2, which was released in 2018. Now, the director is back with his next venture. His upcoming film has been titled Mazhai Pidakatha Manithan. Vijay Milton's upcoming film features Vijay Antony and Sarath Kumar in lead roles. The film will also feature Kannada actors Dhananjaya and Pruthvi Ambaar in two roles.

In an interview with Times of India, Vijay Milton said, "Sarath Kumar and Vijay Antony’s characters are friends in the film. However, there arises a cause for which they take opposite stands. And with that comes conflict. There is a reason for this title, but we won’t tell why the protagonist doesn’t like rains explicitly in the film. There will be no verbal or visual representation for this. However, audiences will understand why the character doesn’t like rain by the end of the film. While Pruthvi plays Vijay’s friend, Dhananjaya essentially essays a negative character. This film is more like another version of Goli Soda. What will people do when they are suppressed for a long time? They hit back, right? This film follows the life of a silent guy, who fights back after having his patience tested."
