Shabaash Mithu is Mithali Raj's Biopic

Titled Shabaash Mithu, a biopic shapes upon the life of Indian woman cricketer Mithali Raj. Mithali Raj's biopic is in the offing for a long time now and finally, the project got announced officially.

Ajith Andhare, the Chief Operating Officer of Viacom 18 Studios posted the news on Twitter. "Thrilled to announce our next with @taapsee takes guard as @M_Raj03, untold & ignored story of the rise of Indian women cricket, in a cricket crazy nation! When the world goes big on cricket, we go different, #artoflookingsideways. So I waited for this moment. Happy birthday Mithali!" he posted. Taapsee Pannu announced that she is doing Mitahli's biopic and wrote, "Happy Birthday Captain @M_Raj03. On this Birthday, I don’t know what gift I can give you but this promise that I shall give it all I have to make sure you will be proud of what you see of yourself on screen with #ShabaashMithu. Rahul Dholakia who earlier directed Shah Rukh Khan in Raees is coming up with this film as a director. Taran Adarsh too officially confirmed the project saying, "IT'S OFFICIAL... #TaapseePannu to star in the biopic on the life of cricket legend #MithaliRaj... Titled #ShabaashMithu...
