Shah Rukh Khan urges fans to contribute towards PPE kits and ventilators for healthcare workers

Shah Rukh Khan said that everyone needs to come together and chip as much as they can in such dire times.

Shah Rukh Khan urges fans to contribute towards PPE kits and ventilators for healthcare workers

Shah Rukh Khan has led various relief projects in and across Mumbai ever since Coronavirus first broke out. The Zero actor has temporarily given his four storey workplace as a hospital for those in need and has also donated thousands of PPE kits for frontline workers. Now the actor has also urged his fans and followers to come forward and donate as much as they can for those healthcare workers who are fighting the pandemic.

 
Shah Rukh Khan shared a video of himself on his NGO's website Meer Foundation. He said, "These are dire circumstances that would require all of us to unite and chip in if we can."
 
He added saying, "We are all facing a crisis against a force we can't see the coronavirus. To fight the virus, our country's doctors, scientists, medical professionals and everyone involved in the healthcare sector are like our soldiers."
 
He also emphasized on the work done by doctors in such difficult times. He said, "The medical personnel require PPE, which include gloves, masks, overalls or any equipment that one may need to protect ones physical self from the virus whole treating the patients."
 
In a separate tweet, Shah Rukh appealed to the people should to donate to Meer Foundation to help protect "our healthcare soldiers."
 
"Let's support the brave health officials and medical teams that are leading the fight against the coronavirus by contributing towards supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE). A little help can go a long way. @MeerFoundation," he added.
