Many Telugu films are being remade in Hindi and Tamil. At the same time, many Hindi and Tamil films are being remade in Telugu. Another Hindi film joins the list of the films which are being remade in Telugu. As per the latest report, the popular Hindi film Vivaah which has Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao in lead roles is being remade in Telugu.
Directed by veteran director Sooraj Barjatya, Vivah tells the story of two individuals and relates their journey from engagement to marriage and aftermath. The film registered impressive numbers at the box office and went on to become a commercial success. It was also dubbed into Telugu and released as Parinayam.
Bellamkonda Ganesh, the younger son of producer Bellamkonda Suresh is said to be stepping into the shoes of Shahid Kapoor for this film and Kirthi Shetty of Uppena fame is said to be playing the leading lady of this film. This pair is going to be the new Jodi of Tollywood. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.
In 2019, it was officially announced that Bellamkonda Ganesh, the younger brother of Sreenivas, will be making his debut as the protagonist. Touted to be a romantic entertainer with four heroines on board, the film is directed by Pavan Sadineni of Prema Ishq Kadhal fame with Vivek Athreya composing the music. While 30% shoot has been wrapped up prior to the 2020 lockdown, there is no update as of now.
