Jayaram is a favorite of the Malayalee family audience. Jayaram, who came to cinema from the mimicry scene, is also a person who maintains friendships with his colleagues. Jayaram has now responded to a comment made by actress Sheela about him. The actor responded in an interview with Behind the Woods.
Jayaram says he does not know why ‘Sheelamma’ is saying that. Jayaram also asks if it is not a good thing to say so. Jayaram says he is happy to hear that someone who was once a superstar is referring to himself.
Jayaram says; “Sathyan Master and Nazir Sir were superstars. But in the midst of all them, how many years did Sheelamma break the industry as a hit heroine?” Jayaram said that Sheela is his favorite actress and he likes her every move and dialogue.
Meanwhile, Jayaram also criticized some who imitate some of the stars, including Sheelamma. Jayaram said he was saddened to see some of the new generation imitating Sheela and Sathyan Master.
“None of them have seen old movies. They do not even know who Sheelamma is. They show what someone else is showing;” said Jayaram.
Jayaram and Sheela co-starred in Sathyan Anthikkad’s 2003 film Manasinakkare. The film was well-received by the audience. Jayaram's upcoming film is Middle-Class Family directed by Kamal.
