The whole world is fighting against the coronavirus pandemic right now. Most of the industries got shut down, which is severely affecting the world's economy. But as of now, lockdown is the best thing that any country can do to stop the spread of the disease. In a country like India, there are many daily wage earners and laborers. All of them lost income source due to the pandemic. One such affected community is the transgender community. In a country like India, transgenders still don't get the respect they deserve. They are always ignored. They got ignored when the lockdown got announced as well. But director Shekhar Kammula is one of the rare people who lend his support to the transgenders. The director is providing them with financial aid and daily supplies during these tough times.
People across the Telugu states are appreciating the noble work of Kammula. Even the transgender community thanked him for helping them. Reports stated that Shekhar is helping the many transgenders across Hyderabad who left with no work and income during these lockdown days.
On the film front, Shekhar's last directorial was the 2017 film Fidaa. His next film is Love Story, which features Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. This film was actually supposed to hit the screens this summer but got postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The new release date will get announced once the lockdown gets lifted and the situation comes back to a normal state. Love Story is being produced by Narayandas Narang.
