From the past few days, it is being reported that Shraddha Srinath is in consideration for the leading lady role in Sudeep's upcoming film Phantom. A source close to the film's team has confirmed the same and said that the actress has already signed the film. Phantom is being directed by Anup Bhandari of Rangi Tharanga fame.
Shraddha Srinath made her entry with 2015 Malayalam film Kohinoor. But it was 2016 Kannada thriller film U-Turn which gained her popularity. After that, within no time, she acted in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films as well. Shraddha was the heroine of blockbuster Tamil film Vikram Vedha and last year's super hit Telugu flick Jersey. She made her Bollywood debut with 2019 film Milan Talkies. In her five years of career, Shraddha has acted in around 17 films. She also has half a dozen films in hand.
After Jersey, Shraddha did not sign any big project. Apart from a film with Vishal in Tamil, the actress did not have a solid film. As Kannada is her home ground, she wants to grow big there with yet another hit after U-Turn.
Now by bagging Sudeep's film, Shraddha is all set to become the top actress of Kannada film industry. Sudeep was last seen in the film Dabangg 3 in which he played the role of an antagonist. Phantom will have a pan-Indian release, just like Sudeep's earlier film Pailwaan. More details on the movie's launch, cast and crew will get officially announced soon.
