After spending two years away from films, Shruti Haasan is now back for good. She is doing films in Tamil and Telugu and also bagged a cameo in Hollywood web-series titled Treadstone.
On November 7, Shruti celebrated her father Kamal Haasan's 65th birthday at her ancestral house in Paramakudi. Speaking about it to a daily, she said, "We are not a family that meets regularly as everyone is occupied in their endeavors. So it's easy to get everyone. My father unveiled the statue of his father, D Srinivasan, and we were are all present for the occasion. So the gathering was like paying tribute to my roots."
Shruti is playing the female lead in Ravi Teja's upcoming film Krack. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film is yet to go on floors. She also added that she got excited to be back in Telugu.
She said, "I remember we had a blast shooting for Balupu and I am hoping that we'll have it again."
