Actress Shweta Basu Prasad made her entry into the Telugu film industry with 2008 teenage romcom Kotha Bangaru Lokam. But she couldn't bank well on its success as her career never took an upper graph after that. She has later acted in films like Ride and Kalavar King but none of them helped her to gain the stardom here.
Later, Shweta caught in a case which disturbed her a lot mentally. After taking a long gap, she ventured into Bollywood by working under Anurag Kashyap. At the same time, she met filmmaking aspirant Rohit Mittal and eventually both of them had fallen for each other. They also got married in 2018. But within a year, the couple decided to get divorced and finally got separated in 2019. Shweta confirmed her separation with an Instagram post.
Speaking in a recent interview, Shweta said that she separated from Rohit as a wife but they still are good friends. She said that things just didn't work out well for them as a couple. Shweta said that Rohit had been a great support for her during the tough times. If given a chance, she said that she will work with Rohit for sure. She also clarified that she is not in a mood to think about love or marriage now.
