Simbu And Venkat Prabhu's Maanaadu Postponed To November 25

Director Venkat Prabhu is waiting with bated breath to release his upcoming film, Maanaadu. The film, produced by Suresh Kamatchi of V House Productions, features Silambarasan AKA Simbu, Kalyani Priyadarshan, SJ Suryah, SA Chandrasekar, Bharathiraja, Karunakaran and Premgi Amaren. The shooting and the release of Maanaadu were delayed multiple times due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Earlier, we had reported that Maanaadu will release in theatres on November 4, on the occasion of Diwali. Maanaadu was to clash with Superstar Rajinikanth's Annaatthe and Vishal and Arya's action thriller-Enemy. However, the film's release date has now been postponed.

On October 18, director Venkat Prabhu and Suresh Kamatchi took to social media to share a statement in which the producer had explained the reasons for postponing the film's release to November 25. Producer Suresh Kamatchi revealed that he, director Venkat Prabhu and the entire team are confident of Maanaadu's success. However, distributors and theatre owners might incur losses if the film releases alongside Annaatthe and Enemy. Hence, Suresh Kamatchi took the collective decision to postpone the film's release to Diwali. This decision by the Maanadu makers is welcomed by the distributors and theatre owners.
