Simbu was born on 3rd February 1983, in Tamil Nadu. His father T. Rajender is a prominent director in Tamil cinema. Simbu acted as a child artist in several films and finally made his debut as a lead hero with the 2002 film Kadhal Azhivathillai. With his later films, Simbu got a huge fan following in Tamil Nadu.
The 2004 film Manmadhan is the first blockbuster of Simbu. It was also dubbed into Telugu as Manmadha and was a super hit here as well. Later, many of his films got dubbed in Telugu and Vallabha has become a successful venture among them.
Simbu has tested his luck in many departments like direction, writing, music composition, singing, and lyric writing, in his 18-year-old career. His last film was Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, which was an official remake of Telugu hit Atharintiki Daaredi.
