After facing severe backlash, Madhav Media, the produtcion house, ddecided not to release Eeswaran on the OTT platform.

Madhav Media took to Twitter and wrote, "Considering the request from TN theatre association & to ensure that the theater experience is not compromised, we had to take the unfortunate call to hold the release of #Eeswaran on @olyflix_ over PVOD. Hope TN Theatre Association supports us by increasing the no. of screens (sic)." Directed by Susienthrian, Eeswaran is a rural entertainer with Nidhhi Agerwal and Nandita Swetha playing the female leads. Eeswaran will be facing Vijay's Master at the box office.
