Simbu, also known as Silambarasan, is enjoying great success of his most recent movie, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. The Gautham Menon-directed gangster movie had a great opening weekend at the box office. The movie's box office receipts slightly decreased on its sixth day in theatres. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu earned between Rs. 1.50 and Rs. 2.50 crore on Tuesday, September 20, according to trade reports.
Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu set a new record by earning more than Rs 50 crore around the globe in just four days. The movie will soon join the Rs 100-crore club if things continue this way. Maanadu with an overall collection of 116 crores is the highest grosser of Simbu and it is expected that Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu will break the record in the next weekend itself.
Trade data indicate a modest decline in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu's sales on Tuesday, September 20. According to reports, the collections will rise once more during the weekend.
Silambarasan and Siddhi Idnani star in the Gautham Menon-directed film "Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu," which also stars Raadhika Sarathkumar, Siddique, Neeraj Madhav, and Jaffer Sadique in supporting parts. The film's music was composed by AR Rahman, and Jeya Mohan and Gautham Menon collaborated on its writing. The creators of "Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu" intend to present several gangster's chapters in the sequel.
