In her latest tweet, pop singer Smita confirms that she and her husband Shashank tested positive for coronavirus.

Popular Singer cum actress Smita climbed the first step in her career ladder by participating in the famous Padutha Teeyaaga program hosted by evergreen Bala Subramanyam. Later, Smita has worked as a playback singer until she carved her name as a pop singer with the Hai Rabba album in 2000.
This popular singer and her husband tested positive for coronavirus when they got themselves tested due to body pains. Smita is the latest celebrity to have tested positive for the virus.
Immediately after the confirmation, she informed it on her twitter handle, “Mad mad day yesterday. Had somebody pains which I thought was due to heavy workout but got tested to be on the safe side. Shashank & I tested COVID positive. Mostly asymptomatic. Waiting to kick COVID out, donate plasma & chill. We Stayed Home Stayed Safe but COVID came home,” she tweeted.
Following her announcement many of her fans posted “Get well soon” wishes both of them.
The dusky beauty hails from Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, she is also known for her acting in movies like Malliswari and Aata. In recent times she acted in a short film called Dying to Be Me in the year 2015.
