Sivakarthikeyan has wrapped up the shooting of his two big films - Doctor and Ayalaan. While Nelson Dilipkumar's Doctor is slated to release in theatres this summer, director Ravikumar's Ayalaan is expected to release in late 2021 or early 2022. NowOn Monday (January 27), Sivakarthikeyan announced his next film which will be produced by Subaskaran under his banner Lyca Productions. The film has been titled Don and will be directed by newcomer Cibi Chakaravarthi.
Cibi worked as an assistant director to Atlee. After Don was announced on social media, Cibi wrote, "“10 years of dream, 7 years of hardship, 3 years of waiting, for 1 day & that is today! (sic)." From the pre-look teaser, Don is touted be a campus-based commercial entertainer. Also, it is unclear if he will play a college student or a professor in the film. Composer Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to compose the music for this entertainer. Sivakarthikeyan wrote, "Happy to announce my next film with @LycaProductions titled #DON Music by my dearest Rockstar @anirudhofficial. It’s always an extra happiness to join with a debutant Director, here is @Dir_Cibi (sic)."
