Sivakarthikeyan-starring movie "Prince" made its theatrical debut this Diwali. It was the actor's first Diwali release. The movie's run was not easy from day one. It is due to the audience's mixed reactions.
As a package, the satellite and digital rights to "Prince" were acquired for Rs 40 crores. It is a high sum for the movie's star, Sivakarthikeyan. His most recent two movies were huge successes and entered the 100 crores club. However, "Prince" struggled in theatres since its plot didn't appeal to all types of viewers.
Streaming of "Prince" is scheduled to begin on November 25. An official announcement is anticipated shortly. Even though "Prince" didn't perform well in theatres, its success in OTT is anticipated because of its abundance of romance and humor. 'Prince' is struggling to attain Rs 50 crores.
As per reviews, Sivakarthikeyan is the only positive of the movie. Fans of director Anudeep were dissatisfied because they anticipated a picture better than his previous effort, "Jathi Ratnalu". Fans were let down by his mediocre screenplay. Premgi Amaren and Maria Ryaboshapka both give their best performances in their respective roles. Composer Thaman gave the movie the necessary energy with his score. As per the reports, Sardar is the Diwali winner from Kollywood.
