Sofia Vergara to join America's Got Talent judge panel

There are media reports from variety.com that Hollywood actress Sofia Vergara will be joining the judging panel in the upcoming 15th season of "America's Got Talent".Model Heidi Klum will also be returning to the show. They will join the present panel of judges, which includes Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel. Terry Crews will continue to host the upcoming season as well.

But, there is an ongoing investigation on the show, which lead to the exit of judges Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough in the last season. The investigation is in place to keep a check on events that created a toxic culture on the show. In this background, Vergara’s entry into the show is to replace their position. Sofia is all set to sign off the Emmy-winning comedy series "Modern Family". She has been part of the show since it first aired eleven years ago, and is currently in its final season. She is the first Latin American judge in the history of "America's Got Talent". She broke out the news stating, "I'm so happy to join my new family on 'AGT'," Vergara said. "This is a new and exciting next chapter for me and I'm proud to be the first Latin judge on the show. I can't wait to watch all the talent and have fun with all you guys!" Klum but was on the show from 2013-2018. After this, she went to be the judge for "America's Got Talent: Champions" last year. Klum recently addressed the new changes, and said, “I'm so excited to be back at 'AGT' with Simon, Howie, and Terry. The fact that Sofia Vergara is joining us is the icing on an already delicious cake.”
