Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham's Pathaan are slated to hit the theatres on January 25. The film's promotions have begun already. Recently, the Besharam Rang song courted controversy. Many politicians pointed out that Deepika Padukone is wearing skimpy clothes. Madhya Pradesh's BJP MLA Narayan Tripathi took offense to Deepika's orange swimsuit. He wrote a letter to Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur calling for a ban on the film. He wrote, "The saffron color was shown in a bad light in the movie, and in apparent deceitfulness, the filmmakers have tried to mock our deities. It’s a humble request to bring this to the notice of the Central Board of Film Certification and direct it to remove offensive songs and scenes or halt the movie's release across the country. "Reacting to it, Somy Ali declared her support to Pathaan and Deepika Padukone.
