The actor Sonam Kapoor has disclosed the date on which she would post images of her son Vayu Kapoor Ahuja on social media.
Sonam also mentioned that she wants to return to the movies after a "nice break" in a recent interview. Since she has spent "most of my adult life" working on sets, Sonam declared that she is "dying to come back on set."
On May 8, 2018, Sonam and businessman Anand Ahuja exchanged vows in a customary Anand Karaj ceremony. The couple made the announcement that they are expecting their first child together in March 2022. On August 20 of the previous year, they gave birth to a boy in Mumbai, named Vayu Kapoor Ahuja.
In an interview, Sonam said, "Honestly, It's been a nice break. I've been doing this since I was so young, but I now want to come back and start getting into things again. I did a film right before I got pregnant, now it's releasing. I'm dying to get back on set because that's what I've done most of my adult life. My film is going to come out soon. Sujoy (Sujoy Ghosh) is the creative producer. It's a thriller and I'm excited for people to see it."
When asked if she will post Vayu's photos on social media, Sonam responded, "I don't think till he's grown up (on sharing pictures). In fact, (it'll be) when he decides himself.”
Even though Sonam has shown her followers peeks of her child, she hasn't yet disclosed Vayu's face. Last year, the pair posted on Instagram to announce Vayu's birth "On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and open hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It's only the beginning, but we know our lives are forever changed."
Sonam's most recent appearance was in the 2019 film The Zoya Factor. She also appeared in a cameo in the 2021 Netflix release of AK vs. AK, directed by Anil Kapoor and written by Anurag Kashyap.
Sonam's next appearance will be in the upcoming Shome Makhija flick Blind. Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey play key parts in the movie. The movie has yet to have its official release date announced.
