Spielberg Calls RRR Eye Candy, Makes Rajamouli's Day

Director SS Rajamouli had many times stated that Hollywood's legendary director Steven Spielberg is one of his biggest inspirations. He took to Twitter toe express his joy of meeting with the director at the Golden Globes after party recently. Rajamouli did not keep his fanboy moment a secret, and put it out for the world to know. Now, the director has had another milestone of an experience, with Steven Spielberg calling RRR an eye candy, and making Rajamouli's day.

Steven Spielberg and Rajamouli had a brief interaction on a Zoom call recently. Naman Ramachandran of ‘Variety’ broke this news to the public. It was during this interacting that Spielberg had commended Rajamouli's work on RRR. RRR is currently the talk of the town, with the movie's song Naatu Naatu getting an Oscar nomination in the Best Original Song category. The song even won the award at the Golden Globes, which was when Rajamouli had met with Speilberg. On the other hand, Spielberg reportedly said that he would be back in India for his next film. He was last in India when he shot the film 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind’. RRR features NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles and was released in March 2022. The film went on to become a massive commercial success and gained huge international recognition ever since. There are good hopes that Naatu Naatu will win the Oscars this year. The Oscar award ceremony is set to take place on March 12th in Los Angeles.
