Several years ago, Bollywood actress and host Sunny Leone announced that she will be making her Tamil debut with a historical period drama titled Veeramadevi. The actress even learnt horse riding for her role in the film and shot for it. However, Veeramadevi is yet to see the light of the day due to the reasons best known for the team. Now, Sunny Leone has signed her second film, which is tipped to be a horror-comedy, directed by Yuvan. The filmmaker had earlier directed a film titled Sindhanai Sei. Sunny Leone's new film went on floors on April 19 in Chennai with a small pooja ceremony.
Speaking about the movie, director Yuvan said, "I have already directed a Tamil movie Sindhanai Sei and written screenplay for Telugu movies – Ranam, Katharnak and few more movies as a writer. The highlighting trait about the movie is a horror-comedy genre treated with backdrops of a historical base. The film has a powerful lead character, which I thought would be perfect for an actress like Sunny Leone. Sathish will be performing the other lead characters in the movie. We have planned the shooting schedules in Chennai, Perambalur, and 25 days schedule in Mumbai.” Sathish, Motta Rajendran, Ramesh Thilak, Vinod Munna and Thangadurai form supporting roles.
