Superstar Rajinikanth Discharged From Chennai Hospital On October 31

Superstar Rajinikanth had a tumultuous week facing several highs and lows. Last week on October 25, Rajinikanth went to New Delhi to receive the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. The next day, he visited President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He then hopped on a flight to Chennai where he watched his upcoming film Annaatthe with his family members. However, on October 28, Rajinikanth was admitted to a hospital after he complained of chest pain and uneasiness. However, his wife Latha Rajinikanth and his team maintained it as a routine check-up. On October 29, Rajinikanth underwent a carotid artery revascularisation at the hospital.

The hospital bulletin read that the surgery was successful. On October 31, Rajinikanth was discharged from the hospital. Photos and videos of Rajinikanth entering his home went viral on social media. Rajinikanth took to Twitter to announce that he is back home and also shared a voice note on Hoote. He can be heard saying, "Namaste to everyone. My treatment is over and I am doing fine. I returned home tonight. My heartfelt gratitude to my fans who prayed for my health. Thanks to my friends and everyone who wished me a speedy recovery."
