Suriya is one of the star heroes who enjoys a wide fan base in both Tamil and Telugu film industries. His movies like Ghajini, Singham and Singham 2 have performed equally well in the Tamil and Telugu states. But of late, the actor is coming up with below par subjects which are ending up as box-office failures. Slowly, he is also losing his market in Telugu. His last two films NGK and Bandobast failed to generate minimum openings in the Telugu states, which proves the decline of Suriya.
Thus, the actor is now planning to strike back hard with his new film Soorarai Pottru. It is being dubbed into Telugu as Aakashame Nee Haddura. Directed by Sudha Kongara, this film chronicles the life of a common man who goes on to become an Airline company founder. The film is heavily based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath.
The teaser of Aakashame Nee Haddura was out a couple of weeks back and is getting a good response from the audience. Suriya's acting will be a major highlight of this film, says the sources. Apparently, the actor is very confident about this film's success and is hoping to regain his lost glory in the Telugu states. This film will hit the screens in summer this year.
