Taapsee comes up with another intense film

Taapsee Pannu used to act in glamorous roles when she started her career in the South Indian films but she became a go-to girl for content-oriented films in Bollywood. Films like Pink, Badla, and Mulk remind us what a powerhouse talent she is. Taapsee is now aiming to continue her tremendous form in 2020 as well. Her first release of the year will be Thappad, directed by Anubhav Sinha.

This is the second film in the combination of Taapsee and Sinha after Mulk. Meanwhile, it is Sinha's immediate film after last year's super hit Article 15. These factors are increasing the expectations on this movie. The first look of the film was out today and it looks intense. Speaking about the film, Taapsee said that when Anubhav Sinha narrated her the story, she immediately decided that she has to be a part of this film. Thus, she gave her nod to the director without any second thought. Taapsee also added that it is a thought-provoking film and deals with an issue which needs to get urgently addressed in the present society. Thappad also features Manav Kaul, Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah and Ram Kapoor in the other important roles. The film's theatrical trailer will be out on January 31st and it will hit the theatres on February 28.
