Taapsee Pannu now become a go-to girl for content-oriented films that deal with social issues and feminist concepts. Films like Pink and Mulk explain her superb choice of scripts. Now, she is all set to come up with another relevant film called Thappad. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, this film deals with the domestic violence issue. Taapsee said that this is one of the serious issues that should get addressed.
Taapsee is also outspoken about many social and women issues in the real-life as well. There was news the other day, stating that the central government has told the Supreme Court that women may not be suitable for the commanding posts in the Indian Army. It said that male troops are not yet ready to take commands from women. It also stated that the danger of taking them as war prisoners is one of the reasons that women shouldn't get appointed in the commanding posts.
Replying to this, Taapsee tweeted, "We can worship HER... We can make love to HER... We can even abuse HER... But we can not take orders from HER! slow clap."
Well, whatever she said was right. But there are a few sections of people who claimed that Taapsee is using this issue to promote her upcoming film. But considering her attitude, the actress was always outspoken on these issues and she did the same this time as well.
