Filmmaker Karan Johar has recently wrapped up shooting in Jaiselmer for his upcoming film Takht. The Karan Johar directorial stars Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar. The period drama revolves around the enmity between two brothers for succeeding in their father's throne. Anil Kapoor plays the role of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan while Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal play Dara Shukoh and Aurangzeb respectively. While their father got torn between their enemy, the two brothers are thirsty for power and authority.
Director Karan Johar has wrapped his schedule in Jaiselmer and is gearing up for the next phase of shooting in Europe. The shooting for the film expects to end soon. Meanwhile, the actors have begun their preparation for the film. Recently, Vicky Kaushal had seen portraying the role of Aurangzeb in the film, shared a glimpse of his horse riding lessons. Vicky has shared a few pictures which show the actor all padded and geared up, preparing for a horse ride on his Instagram handle. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor has also started learning the Kathak dance form and Urdu language for her role in the multistarrer.
Seemingly, the actor is interacting with his new friend before taking his horse riding lessons. Vicky is seen wearing a helmet and patting the horse. Directed by Karan Johar, Takht is scheduled for 2021 release. However, the release date has not been officially announced.
