Telangana Besthagundla Chaitanya Samithi claimed that they have already filed a complaint against the title in the Film Chamber but the producer has ignored them.
Young Hero Nithiin who has been facing back to back debacles lately has pinned all his hopes on his upcoming movie 'Bheeshma'. Venu Kudumula of 'Chalo' fame is helming this project.
Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead in this movie. The recently released theatrical trailer of the film has received a positive response from the audience.
However, the title of the film has brought some big problems for the movie unit. Telangana Besthagundla Chaitanya Samithi is demanding to change the movie title as well as Nithiin's character name in the film and is threatening to stop the film release. They are alleging that Bheeshma was an unparalleled archer and warrior from Mahabharatha who took the vow of lifelong Brahmacharya but the film showcased Bheeshma's character as a playboy with some vulgar scenes and comments. While talking in the press meet, Samithi president P Sathyanarayana, M Sekhar, Shivasena leader Sudarshan, Mylaram Rajulu from BJP claimed that they have already filed a complaint against the title in the Film Chamber but the producer has ignored them.
They also revealed that they are going to submit a request letter to DGP as well. Chandrasekhar Bestha, Suresh, Ganesh, Taraka Prabhu, etc also participated in the meeting. The movie is gearing for February 21st release.
