Telugu actor Mohan Babu One gets one Year Imprisonment!
A week after he joined the YSR Congress Party, Tollywood actor Manchu Mohan Babu has been convicted in a cheque bounce case of 2010. Going by the reports, noted director YVS Chowdary lodged a case at Yerra Manzil court alleging that a cheque issued by Mohan Babu was bounced. YVS filed the petition in 2010 after he received a cheque from Mohan Babu for Salim film starred by Manchu Vishnu.
A court at Yerra Manzil in Hyderabad delivered the judgment on Tuesday awarding Mohan Babu one-year imprisonment and directing him to pay Rs 41.75 lakh towards the defaulted amount. The court also found his Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures guilty and imposed Rs 10,000 cash fine.
However, he was granted bail in a short period of time. As this news hit the headlines, the Manchu family remained unavailable for comment but Mohan Babu personally tweeted, “Just heard about the false news propaganda by a few TV networks. Much to their disappointment, I am at my home in Hyderabad.
