Superstar Rajinikanth enjoys a massive following in the southern states of India. He enjoys an equal amount of fandom in both Tamil and Telugu film industries. The actor is now coming up with his new film Darbar, which is all set to hit the screens on the 9th of this month. Directed by AR Murugadoss, Darbar features Nayanthara as the female lead.
The pre-release event of the Darbar Telugu version was held last night in Hyderabad. Speaking at the event, Rajini said that even at the age of 70, the love and affection showed by fans is making him do more films. "Telugu audience shows me the same amount of love and respect that I get from the Tamil audiences. In 1976, Anthuleni Katha was my first film which released in Telugu. Since then, you people are showing love towards me. All my films like Pedarayudu, Basha, Narasimha, Robo, and Chandramukhi ran well because of you people," said Rajinikanth.
Speaking about Darbar, Rajini said, "I have been trying to work with Murugadoss for the last 15 years. Finally, it happened now. When you are making a film, you should find magic in it to know whether it will be successful or not. I found that magic in this film."
