Telugu Film Producers Council shocks the digital platforms
As digital platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Voot, ALT Balaji, and Viu are stretching their wings, it became a threat to the revenue of small and medium budget movies. To mitigate this issue, Telugu Film Producers Council has made a decision to bring the audience to the theatres and increase the revenues to small and medium budget movies.
It is observed that in just a few weeks after the release, the movies are being available on digital platforms which are probing the movie lovers to stay back and wait instead of watching it in theatres. To avoid this to some extent, Telugu Film Producers Council has decided to increase the window period i.e, the time period between theatrical release and digital release. Upon this decision, the movies are going to be in theatres for longer periods before getting available on digital platforms.
The window period from now onwards will be eight weeks after which they would get released on digital platforms. Film fraternity goes all praise for the decision taken by the council which would benefit not only the small budget movies but also the bigger ones.
So, the audience should now wait for a few more weeks to watch their favorite films on digital platforms. This move has obviously shocked the digital world but the good cause they are doing this will spare everything.
