Evaru was the Telugu adaptation of the Spanish film, The Invisible Guest. The Invisible Guest was also remade in Hindi. The Hindi version titled Badla starred Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Amrita Singh. The Telugu version was named one of 2019's best Telugu films. Adivi Sesh starred in the film along with Regina Cassandra and Naveen Chandra. Rumour has it that the film will be remade in Kannada too. Rumours of Actor Diganth starring in the film is making rounds in the industry.
Evaru was a crime-thriller directed by Venkat Ramji. The Kannada remake might be crucial to the industry. Rumour has it that a major Telugu production house will be marking its entry into Sandalwood through this film. Additionally, it is also rumoured that the technical crew from Telugu film will be working for the Kannada version as well. The makers of the film were to make an official announcement right before the lockdown. However, due to the lockdown, the project is on hold. The details and the official statement will arrive after the film industry achieves normalcy after the lockdown is over.
Meanwhile, actor Diganth has a busy schedule this year. He said to appear in a number of projects including Yogaraj Bhat’s Gaalipata 2, Raghavendra M Naik-directed Marigold, and a yet-to-be-titled project by Vinayak Kodsara. All three films are in production, however, they stand halted till the lockdown is officially lifted.
