Sudha Kongara made the pathbreaking film 'Irudhi Suttru', starring Madhavan and Ritika Singh. Currently, she has completed the shoot of 'Soorarai Pottru' with Suriya in the lead, which is one of the most awaited films of the year. The film is based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. In light of recent developments of COVID19 outbreak, however, the film release has been postponed.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of buzz in Kollywood circles that Ajith might team up Sudha Kongara for his 61st film. Earlier, there were reports that she might join hands with Vijay for Thalapathy 65. But the project didn’t materialise as Vijay wasn't impressed with the script. As per the latest update, Sudha Kongara has narrated a script to Ajith, which she had earlier narrated to actor Vijay. Interestingly Ajith seems to be impressed by the script and has agreed to work on it, but only after completing his film Valimai. Currently, the actor wants to concentrate on Valimai, and he will apparently take a firm decision only after the completion of the film.
Just like other films, the shoot of Valimai too has come to a halt following the Coronavirus pandemic scare. But the post-production work of Valimai is on track, as the makers are trying to ensure that the release date of the film- that is, Diwali weekend - doesn’t get hampered. Touted to be an action thriller, it features Ajith playing the role of a cop in the film. Huma Qureshi is the female lead.
