Thalaivar And Family Celebrates 47 Years Of Rajinism With Independence Day

On August 15, India celebrated its 75th anniversary of independence, but for  Rajinikanth and his family, the day was doubly special because the superstar had just marked 47 years in the business. The actor's daughters joined him in celebrating the important day, and they posted some photos to social media.

Stating that it is 47 years of Rajinism, Aishwaryaa posted a picture and wrote on social media, “76 years of independence saluting sacrifices, struggles n strength... #proudindian 47 years of #rajinism...sheer hard work grit n dedication! proud to born to him #prouddaughter."

The photo had Rajinikanth standing in front of the wall that read “47 years of Rajinism.”

Previously, the superstar hoisted a flag on house and posted with a caption, "This is the 75th year of independence for India… our motherland. As a mark of respect, and as an expression of our unity... for all the lakhs of people who suffered untold struggles and miseries... pain and humiliation... for all those many thousands of people who sacrificed their lives selflessly for this freedom... for all those freedom fighters, martyrs and leaders... let us honour and salute them with gratitude... beyond caste, religion and politics… Let us pass on our Indian National Flag to our next generation of kids and youngsters to be proudly displayed outside our homes, offices and workplaces. Let us celebrate the great Indian 75th Independence Day with pride... Let our national flag fly everywhere as we salute them. Jai Hind."

On the professional front, Rajinikanth will begin working on the filming of "Jailer" soon.  The movie, which was directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, features Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Aishwarya Rai, and Rajinikanth. Additionally, there is talk about Thamannaah, Sivakarthikeyan, and Priyanka Arul Mohan joining the cast. Anirudh Ravichander will be the composer of the music.
