After the massive success of Bigil, actor Vijay is shooting for his upcoming film Thalapathy 64. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the untitled flick is a gangster film featuring talented actors such as Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in the lead roles.
We had reported that the makers of Thalapathy 64 were shooting for the film in Karnataka. Also, they had gotten permission to shoot in and around Shivmogga prison. Recently, they shot for the film near a school campus which has now gotten the team into trouble.
Reportedly, the actors smoked inside the school campus which is a prohibited act. Now, a complaint has been filed against the team for violating the roles. A press release read, "Section 4 of the COTPA (Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act) states that, ‘Smoking in public places is prohibited’. On the other hand, Section 6 (b) states that the sale or usage of cigarettes or any other tobacco product is prohibited within 100 yards of any educational institution; be it school, college or even a tuition center’. The movie crew has shown such a lethargic attitude by smoking inside the school where a countless number of disabled children get educated."
