Thalapathy Vijay announces his donations towards coronavirus relief

In regard to the nationwide lockdown to curb down the increasing number of cases of COVID-19, the global economy is at a standstill. All our lives got affected due to the pandemic, while the daily wage employees take a harder hit. None of them are able to survive, due to lack of income. The government is taking several measures to provide food and shelter for them. In lieu of this, many celebrities are coming forward to help out those in these desperate times.
 
From Kollywood, various celebrities have come forward and made generous amounts of donations. Raghava Lawrence, donated over three crores to help provide for food and essentials to the needy. Thala Ajith made a donation of 1.25 crores and Rajinikanth donated a total of 50 Lakhs. Initially, Thalapathy Vijay's contributions were untold. But the president of his fan club, Bussy Anand let us in on all the details.
 
Thalapathy Vijay’s donations were broke down and made for several different relief funds. He donated, Rs. 50 Lakhs towards TN Chief Minister’s Fund, PM Cares received around Rs. 25 Lakhs, another Rs. 25 Lakhs for Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), Rs. 10 Lakhs to Kerala CM fund, and Rs. 5 Lakhs respectively to the Karnataka, Telangana and Puducherry CM relief funds.
 
There are reports that state that the actor also gave away another Rs. 50 Lakhs, distributed among his fans. So in total, his donations add up to Rs. 1.8 crores.
