Thalapathy Vijay's father SA Chandrasekhar is a veteran director in Tamil cinema, who directed 69 movies in his career. He is currently directing the movie Capmari starring Jai, Athulya Ravi, and Vaibhavi Shandilya.
In a recent interview, the director was questioned on the rivalry between Ajith and Vijay fans, and Chandrasekhar said that Thala and Thalapathy are good friends, and also added that they visit each other's homes, and since fans treat them as demigods, they are fighting when someone speaks badly of the stars, which he said he strictly don't like
Chandrasekhar also said that Thala Ajith shares a great rapport with his family members as well. He revealed that his wife Shobha used to send food to Ajith during the shoot of Rajavin parvaiyile that also starred Vijay, and she watches Ajith movies on the first day, first show. Reportedly, she saw Ajith's Ner Konda Paarvai and appreciated the movie, and that he watched it later. Chandrasekhar said that Ajith has forgotten his image and has done Ner Konda paarvai for society, and added that every actor must do one movie like this in their career. He also said that he got emotional and cried watching the father-daughter bond in Viswasam as it reminded his daughter Vidya.
