Tharun Bhascker Makes His Directorial Comeack With Keeda Cola

Tharun Bhascker's last directorial venture was Ee Nagaraini Emaindi. The director then became an actor and played many memorable roles in Telugu films. After five years, he is finally back to the direction. His upcoming film is titled Keeda Cola. In an interview with The Times of India, Tharun said, "You’ll have to wait and watch. You must also wait a little longer to know the cast of the film. It’s a crime comedy, much like Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels or Money Money. My previous films had an undercurrent of comedy, but this one will truly be a laugh riot. The whacky characters I’ve created are bizarre for Telugu cinema. If my father were alive, he would’ve cut a ticket for the film. We all deserve a break after covid."

When asked if the film would have a pan-India release, he said, "I don’t understand the concept of making films with just that intention, but yes, I do want to dub this film into multiple languages. Content will truly take the front seat here and it was not the plan to make this my all-India debut. I don’t want to oversell, but I believe the kind of comedy I’ve attempted is universal, it’s situational. We shot two schedules and they’ve come out really well. Even my friends, the real-life Kaushik, Uppi, and Vivek (characters from ENE) have believed in me enough to back me. They’ve not given me a caravan of my own though (laughs)."
