Young actress Kalyani Priyadarshan forayed into films with 2017 film Hello. Later, she acted in films like Chitralahari and Ranarangam. Recently, Kalyani also debuted in the Tamil film industry with Siva Karthikeyan's Hero. Currently, the actress is busy with a few Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films in hand.
These days, actresses are coming up with more female-oriented films, as the market for those movies has expanded. When asked whether she has any plans of acting in female-oriented flicks, Kalyani said that she is yet to reach the stage of doing that kind of movies.
Kalyani stated, "Till now, I have acted in three to four films only. Right now, I am trying to get recognized as a good actress. If someone comes to be with a female-oriented script, I might do it. But to be honest, I don't think I can be effective in those roles."
"If a star actress like Deepika Padukone does a female-oriented film, it will reach wider sections of the audiences. I am yet to reach that stage now. Sometimes, even my dad (director Priyadarshan) used to write stories and design characters keeping the stars in mind. I want filmmakers to design characters and write stories keeping me in mind. That is my aim," adds the actress.
