Kajol is all set to team up with director Revathi for her next. The film titled 'The Last Hurrah' will be Revathi’s return after a long hiatus.
Revathi is one of the favorite heroines of the Indian audience. She is an accomplished artist not only in acting but also in directing. Revathi, who won a National Award for her debut film 'Mitr, My Friend' released in 2002, has directed two feature films and two short films on the anthology.
Kajol announced the film through her social media accounts. Sharing the news, Kajol says that she is happy to team up with Revathi. Kajol wrote on Instagram: “So happy to announce my next film with the super awesome Revathi directing me.. called 'The Last Hurrah'. A heartwarming story that made me instantly say YES! Can I hear a “Yipppeee” please?”
The film tells the story of a mother named ‘Sujatha’. Reportedly, the film is based on a true story and characters.
Sameer Arora writes the script for 'The Last Hurrah'. Sooraj Singh and Shraddha Agrawal produce the film. The production is under the banner of Believe Productions and Take23 Studios Productions
Revathi says that Sujatha's journey in 'The Last Hurrah' is very close to her heart. She says that ‘it is not only relatable but also inspiring.”
