Thiruchitrambalam Box Office Collections: Dhanush Movie Nearing To Rs 100 Crore Globally

For a running total of Rs. 73.75 crores, Thiruchitramabalam posted an additional Rs. 2 crores (approximately) in its fourth weekend at the box office. For a total worldwide collection of Rs. 99.50 crores, the movie has made an additional $3.25 million (Rs. 25.75 crores) abroad. It is only a few lakhs short of the 100 crore rupee mark worldwide, which will be reached tomorrow and would mark a first for Dhanush. Early last week, the movie surpassed Raanjhaana to become the actor's highest-grossing project.

With about Rs. 1.80 crore expected this weekend, the movie's total domestic take in Tamil Nadu is currently Rs. 63.40 crores. As it increased from being 30% of the new releases on Friday to over 70% on Sunday, the movie was bringing in more money in the state over the weekend than last week's release Cobra and may soon begin to outperform this week's release Captain.

The movie performed well in Karnataka as well, earning Dhanush's highest-ever gross of Rs. 5.35 crores.
