This is why Ram Gopal Varma didn’t direct Balayya’s NTR biopic
Ever since NTR biopic starring Balayya went on floors, it has been mired in controversies. Initially, director Teja is supposed to helm the film but he backed out due to creative differences between Balayya. It also says that RGV was supposed to direct the film even before Teja came onboard.
At a recent media interaction, RGV has been asked why he didn’t Director Balayya’s NTR biopic. He said, “If you're taking Mahatma Gandhi's life and you are not making a movie on his fight with Britishers, then there is no point in making a biopic. Similarly, NTR's rise to a star and his stardom are just incidents, but the real drama started when Lakshmi Parvathi entered his life. What is the point of making biopic if you're not showing that?"
However, RGV says that it is not the reason why he came out with a biopic on his own. He said that he has been mesmerized by NTR’s life after the entry of Lakshmi Parvathi.
Recently, the trailer of Lakshmi’s NTR has been unveiled and it received a lot of positive reviews. The film has a positive hype and RGV has planned to make full use of it for the promotion of his film.
