It has been over a year since we saw Trisha on the big screen. Her last film was Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta in which she played a brief role. Now, after this long hiatus, Trisha is coming up with her new film Paramapadham Vilayattu. This is the 60th film of Trisha in her two-decade-long career.
In fact, this film was actually supposed to be out long back but it was lying under the cans due to multiple issues. Now, everything got cleared and the movie is gearing up for a worldwide release on the 28th of this month. Even the censor formalities got finished recently. Apparently, the makers thought that they will get a clean U certificate but much to their dismay, censor board awarded them a U/A certificate stating that there are a few controversial scenes in the movie.
Directed by Thirugnanam, Paramapadham Vilayattu is a political thriller and features Nanda Durairaj and Richard Richi in the other important roles. We have to see how Trisha pulls of this female-oriented flick at the box office. Meanwhile, the actress is also working on three other Tamil films, Raangi directed by M. Saravanan, Ponniyin Selvan directed by Mani Ratnam and Sugar directed by Sumanth Radhakrishnan.
